Bible2School
Armagh Methodist Church now charters Bible2School within the United School District. As allowed by PA State Law, elementary students are allowed one hour per week of religious instruction at a non-school location. Currently, with parental permission, Tri County Transportation is contracted to bus 2nd & 3rd grade UES children to Armagh MC's Elliott Hall one day a week during their regular lunch hour. Children will eat a packed lunch, learn a Bible lessons, do a craft related to the lesson and sing songs at the church and during their bus ride. Please pray for this program as we spread the Word of God to children in our community!
Young Life
Young Life is a Christ-centered national ministry that helps teenagers know Jesus, grow in their faith, and serve God. Brett Bloom and his friends are the local Young Life United High School leaders who come along-side teens to build bridges and authentic relationships with them. They sponsor various fun after-school activities like frozen turkey bowling that provide fun and fellowship for teens. Young Life also hosts a Bible Study where students are invited to join like-minded teens to focus more deeply on God's Word, direction and meaning in their lives. This group meets once a week at Armagh MC at 6:30am before school begins. Please call the church office for more information.
Women in Faith
Armagh Women in Faith is the largest and most active ministry in our Church. Our ladies hold Soup Sales as fundraisers and support both local and international missions (click here to learn more about these MISSIONS). Their motto is Faith+Hope+Love In Action. The women meet the first Thursday of the month and begin with devotional readings to promote spiritual growth. The women also plan outreach projects for Arbutus Manor in Johnstown and even plan a few outings simply for fun! Call the Office or This email address is being protected from spambots. Prayer Requests & Prayer Chain
Church members often bring the needs of other members, friends and family to God. To ensure privacy in this age of social media, Armagh MC will not publish Prayer Lists on our web site. We have a chain of volunteers who will call, text, or email around the Prayer List until all members are aware of that special need and seek God to intervene, heal and sustain the individual and their family.
Please call the Office with your Prayer Request or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Your prayer need will be given to the Prayer Coordinator who will pass it through our prayer chain.
Prayer Shawl
"What is a prayer shawl? It is a shawl that has been made with love and prayers for the one to receive it. The shawl is then consecrated to the Lord and that declares it sacred! It is to bring comfort to the one wearing it. It is a gift of feeling wrapped in the arms of God and comforted by the Holy Spirit. Over the centuries, shawls have come to symbolize shelter, peace, and spiritual sustenance.”
Several members of our church make knitted or crocheted prayer shawls. The shawls are then spread across the altar rail in the Sanctuary and are Blessed to God during the Worship Service. The shawls are given to anyone who needs one: someone who is sick, someone who is grieving, someone who is struggling, a new mom, a newborn baby and for many other needs.
There are several ways to help with this ministry.
• Donate money or purchase gift cards to Joann Fabrics or Michael’s that will be used to purchase yarn. Mail your check or gift card to our Church Office. Or click here for Giving Options.
• Request a shawl for someone in need. Or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Spaghetti Dinners are Fellowship Gatherings within our Community!
We minister to the local community on the fourth Tuesday of the month by hosting a Spaghetti Dinner from 5-7pm. We only ask for $4 for each meal, which includes the spaghetti & meatballs, bread, salad, dessert and a beverage choice. We have fun and fellowship cooking in the kitchen, serving meals and even cleaning up! All are WELCOME. Quite a few folks in the community who are not members of AMC join in to help and are some of our hardest and most joyful participants! We feel BLESSED as it's a true community effort. Come, eat and see for yourself!
